To promote proper healing, have your stitches and staples removed by a wound care nurse. Rely on your doctor's prescription for the delays before removing your stitches or staples.
Vaccines (influenza, shingles, etc.)

Get vaccines that are appropriate for your age, condition, and current immunization situation. Some examples of vaccines given by nurses are vaccines for newborns (2 months to 18 months), shingles vaccines (Shingrix or Zostavax) recommended for patients over 50 years old, pneumococcal vaccines (Prevnar et al. / or Pneumovax) recommended for patients over 65 years of age, immunosuppressed or suffering from chronic disease, meningococcal vaccines (Menactra, Menveo or Bexero) suggested for children and adolescents, and influenza vaccines.
